Travis Michael Bailey’s charcoal and graphite drawings capture the essence and beauty of the human form. Bailey combines his attention to detail and his understanding of light and texture to create drawings that are expressive and emotionally evocative. Although his subjects vary from Classical models to more contemporary, Bailey’s ability to represent the human spirit is steadfast. The depth of expressionism found in Bailey’s drawings attests to his prowess as an artist. After obtaining an MFA in Paining and Drawing, Bailey studied privately with Anthony Waichulis. His work has been featured in several galleries including the Grenning Gallery in Sag Harbor, New York, and in Gilcrease Museum’s American Art in Miniature Show.
